Speaker Matthew Miller
Matthew Miller (Writer, Producer, BlackBerry) is the co-founder and president of Zapruder Films in Toronto. Working with director Matt Johnson he has developed a reputation for tackling challenging material that weaves historical fact with fiction and plays with filmmaking conventions and aesthetics to defy audience expectation. Projects include The Dirties (2013), Operation Avalanche (2016) and BlackBerry (2023). On the television side he was Executive Producer for two seasons of the much beloved Nirvanna the Band the Show for VICELAND. Matthew also teaches film production at York University where he studied as a young cinephile in the early aughts.
