Adani Pictures is a Toronto-based media production company, helmed by producers Rua Wani and Jessica Adams. We help creators and visionaries tell progressive stories through film, TV, and digital media. Our mission is to provoke curiosity and engagement, centered in a belief that everyone’s story deserves to be seen.
Co-founder Jessica Adams is a well-established feature film producer. She has presided over both domestic productions and international co-productions. Her films have premiered at Toronto International Film Festival, San Sebastian Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, had representation by Memento, UTA, and Elevation; sold to Showtime and Hulu; and starred talent such as Richard Dreyfuss and Felicity Huffman.
She was nominated as one of five Canadian Producers to Watch at Cannes 2018, and one of five Established Producers for the CMPA IndieScreen Awards at TIFF 2019. She has been a guest speaker on Eurimages The Co-Production Podcast, a guest lecturer and mentor at Co-Production Talks in Taipei, co-founded the Trans Film Mentorship program, and co-produced the Trans Filmmakers Summit X TIFF in 2022 and 2023.
Most recently, Jessica has presided over international co-production feature films, including Swiss-Canadian film Something You Said Last Night (WINNER TIFF, San Sebastian 2022, Rotterdam and Outfest 2023), written and directed by Luis De Filippis and Executive Produced by Julia Fox; as well as Argentinian-Uruguay-Canadian-UK film Ariel.
