Jason Brennan is the producer/president of the award-winning production company Nish Media and a proud member of Kitigan Zibi Anishinaabeg. The company has produced programming for most networks in Canada and its productions have been seen around the world. Jason has produced, directed and written works of fiction and factual which have screened in festivals such as Karlovy Vary Film Festival, La Rochelle, MIPTV, Vancouver Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival, ImagineNATIVE and the American Indian Film Festival.
In 2020, he wrote and directed his first feature film, L’Inhumain, in which he depicts the tale of the Wendigo in a contemporary setting. The film earned him the Best Director Award at the American Indian Film Festival and was released in theatres across Quebec.
Most recently, Jason Brennan produced the miniseries Pour toi Flora, the first 100% Indigenous created drama to be produced in Canada. The show received critical acclaim both in Canada and worldwide and was the 2022 MIPCOM Diversify TV Award winner as well as the Best Miniseries Award winner at the « C21 Content London – Drama Awards.
