Emmy-nominated director Zach Lipovsky started his career on Spielberg's filmmaking competing "On the lot" where he placed 5th out of 12,000 directors worldwide. Zach has gone on to direct and produce projects for TV and film for Syfy, TNT, Lionsgate, Legendary, Universal, and Disney where he was the producing director for the award winning series MECH-X4, and the live action feature adaptation of the hit series Kim Possible. His first theatrical indie feature Freaks was the biggest Canadian sale at TIFF’18, won the best emerging BC filmmaker award at VIFF and appeared in the Netflix top 10 for 2 weeks around the world.

Zach also sits on the national executive board of the DGC as the National Director Division Chair, where he fights to increase opportunities for directors across the country. He is also the founder and lead designer of Shot Lister, the industry standard in Shot Listing used by over 50K filmmakers worldwide.

He is directing the reboot of Final Destination for Warner Brothers, and will be filming the sequel to Freaks next year.
