Speaker Zena Harris
Zena Harris builds sustainability programs that embed sustainable practices, influence stakeholders and shift industries. Professionally, she has worked in three sectors - industrial engineering and construction, higher education, and entertainment – in a corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial context respectively. Most recently, she founded a sustainability consulting company with the focus of advancing sustainability practices in film and television, and the mission to “change the climate of entertainment”, working throughout the United States and Canada.
Zena manages a team that focuses on film/TV production strategy, best practice implementation and data analysis. She works with corporate clients and stakeholders on sustainability strategy, goal setting and key performance indicator development. She has cultivated and grown multi-stakeholder programs that unite the motion picture industry around sustainability and has created events like the Sustainable Production Forum to accelerate knowledge sharing.
Zena has worked with major studios to implement sustainable practices on film and TV shows and regularly engages with industry alliances and consortia. Zena holds a master’s degree from Harvard University in Sustainability and Environmental Management and applies her 15+ years of experience in sustainability in several sectors to the motion picture industry.
